Fire engulfs Chicago Ave. deli in Minneapolis; no injuries reported

Firefighters spent several hours putting out a blaze early Thursday morning at the Chicago Food and Deli on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis, KSTP reports. No one was injured, local media reported.

The fire fully engulfed the deli across the street from Children's Hospital. The blaze started at about 3 a.m. in the basement and quickly spread to the rest of the building, and flames were still visible three hours later, KARE 11 reported. No one was in the building when the fire stared, the Star Tribune reports.

A cause was not immediately available.

Traffic in the area was affected, as was bus service.
