The Oak Hills Bible Camp in Bemidji was hit with a major fire Wednesday, but no injuries were reported in the blaze, the Bemidji Pioneer reports.

The fire razed the dining hall of the camp Wednesday afternoon. The blaze was reported by the camp program director, who saw smoke coming from the building Wednesday about 3:30 p.m.

Fire officials said no people were in the building at the time of the fire.

WDIO-TV says about 30 firefighters responded to the camp to battle the fire.

The camp reportedly hosts 500 visitors over a 10-week span over the summer months.

Oak Hills Christian College executive vice president Carol Nelson said the fire likely started in the kitchen of the building, where the largest flames were most present.

Bemidji Fire Chief Dave Hoeffer said the fire didn't appear to be suspicious.

The camp says a 15-person fishing trip wrapped up early Wednesday morning and another is scheduled for this weekend.
