Any Minnesota music fan worth their ticket stubs has dreamed of hanging out backstage at First Avenue.

And now the club will be offering a slightly less rock 'n' roll version of that experience with their new venue tours.

The nightclub announced the tours with a blog post on Friday afternoon, promising a full walk-through of the venue.

It will include the vaunted Mainroom stage along with the adjoining 7th Street Entry space, and backstage attractions like the storied "setlist wall," where generations of musicians have taped up their song lists for posterity.

First Avenue staff photographer and venue historian Daniel Corrigan has been tapped to lead the tours, which the venue says will last 45 minutes and are currently available Wednesday through Saturday on First Avenue's website, starting Oct. 6.

Tours will cost $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children under 12, although the venue says it plans on offering discounts for large bookings and student groups.

Corrigan, best known for his iconic photographs of local rockers The Replacements, is also releasing a book via the MN Historical Society Press compiling his 35-plus years documenting the local music scene. The photographer will be hosting a book release later this month in the 7th Street Entry.
