It's more than a year until the election, but on Thursday night voters can get a first look at the four Republicans who want the GOP nomination for governor. Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton has said he intends to seek a second term.

The Associated Press reports the quartet of declared Republican candidates will share a stage for the first time in Mounds View. Businessman Scott Honour, Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson, state Sen. Dave Thompson and state Rep. Kurt Zellers are expected.

The forum, sponsored by four local GOP chapters, is expected to be moderated by Tea Party Patriots coordinator Walter Hudson.
