Parts of Minnesota could get up to 3 inches of rain by Tuesday, which could cause some flooding.
The forecast shows showers are expected across much of Minnesota Monday, with "very heavy" rainfall expected Monday night for an area stretching from southwestern Minnesota into the Arrowhead, the National Weather Service says.
All this rain has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood watch for a large portion of central and northeastern Minnesota through 6 a.m. Tuesday (see map below).
This means flash flooding is possible with this storm, but not that it's happening.
The weather alert says anyone driving late Monday night or Tuesday morning should be "especially vigilant" because some roads could be covered with water or "completely washed out."
