Flea gets around: 5 screen cameos by the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist

Ever notice that if you watch anything long enough that Flea shows up?

Turn on your TV, and you won't have to look far to find Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.

Seriously, Flea is everywhere. His three decades of acting and the unwritten law that one can't make a documentary in the states without interviewing him has made the bassist quite a friendly familiar face on the small and silver screens.

This Saturday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers play the Target Center. But fans who just can't wait to see him, here are our favorite surprise Flea moments.

The Outsiders 1983
You know that uncredited SOC who you see for a split-second and think "Hey, that looks like Flea!" Turns out, it's Flea!

Young MC - "Bust A Move" 1989
The only thing cooler than the fact that Flea played bass on this old-school hip-hop classic is his pair of stuffed animal pants in the video! Revel in them at 2:00 and 2:32.

The Big Lebowski1998
Playing a German nihilist techno artist as one third of Autobahn, Flea's appearance in The Big Lebowski was a great collision of the Coen Brothers and the Chili Peppers.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 1998
'98 was a big year for Flea in cult classics from beloved directors, so of course he pops up in Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Back to the Future II/III 1988/1990
Of course, Flea's biggest role was probably that of Needles in the Back to the Future sequels. As beloved as they are, Flea's not particularly a fan, famously stating "It was okay. I mean, I didn't really like the film very much. I wasn't happy with my performance in it either, but, you know, it's basically a multi-million dollar piece of trash."
