Almost a year after Ford Motor Co. shut down its Twin Cities Assembly Plant, the company has submitted a plan to the city of St. Paul outlining the factory's decommissioning and demolition, the Pioneer Press reported.
The application will be discussed at a public meeting hosted by the Community Development Committee of the Highland District Council on Dec. 11, and at a public hearing hosted by the St. Paul City Council Dec. 20.
The Highland Park facility closed last December after 86 years of operation.
The city is being advised on the redevelopment of the 122-acre area by a public task force.
