There's a first for Minnesota on Saturday, when Forever 21's beauty chain Riley Rose opens its first store in the state.
Riley Rose will have its grand opening at the Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka on Saturday, with skincare and cosmetics kits given out to the first 250 people in line.
A free gift will also be given out when you spend $50 or more, with opening day also including a photo booth, a live DJ and a hairstylist giving curling and styling demos.
You can find it on the upper level of Ridgedale, on Nordstrom Lane.
What is Riley Rose?
The brand was only just launched this past October by apparel giant Forever 21, opening as a concept store in Los Angeles.
The chain is aimed at millennials and Gen-Zers, with Racked describing it as a combination of Ulta, Urban Outfitters and Nyx and features a pink theme "that borrows heavily from Barbie."
It was founded by Linda and Esther Chang, the daughters of Forever 21's founders, who felt there was something missing from the beauty department in Forever 21.
“We felt there was a hole in the market for a beauty and lifestyle brand that really catered to our generation, the Millennials as well as Gen Z, so we felt like, ‘Hey, let’s do it,'" they told Racked.
As well as skincare, makeup and hair products, Riley Rose also sells candy and a selection of home accessories covering decor, furniture and candles.
