Two former Navy SEALs will be keynote speakers for Tuesday's annual fundraising dinner for the Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund.

Retired Lt. Lawrence Yatch, of Mound, was a SEAL for 10 years. Retired Special Warfare Operator Eric Davis, of California, served 16 years in the Navy, including 10 years in SEAL teams. The two will speak about their experiences as SEALs and translate the principles they mastered into everyday life as a civilian, the Associated Press says.

The MMAF works to show appreciation for the sacrifices Minnesota service members have made by providing cash grants to every Minnesotan who has served in a combat zone since the Sept. 11 attacks, according to its website.

Since MMAF's inception nine years ago, over 15,000 grants have been awarded, totally more than $9.1 million, the organization says. Organizers expected to raise at least $500,000 at the fundraising dinner, the Associated Press says.
