Former TE Todd Heap hit, killed 3-year-old daughter in driveway accident
Police in Mesa, Arizona, have confirmed that former Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap was behind the wheel of a truck that struck and killed his 3-year-old daughter Friday afternoon, according to The Arizona Republic.
The report says Heap was moving his truck forward in his driveway when it hit the child. She was taken to a hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead.
The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Friday at Heap's home.
A spokesperson from the Mesa Police Department told NFL.com that Heap showed no signs of being impaired.
According to TMZ Sports, the 3-year-old was the youngest of Heap's five children.
