List of 'World's Most Innovative Companies' includes two in Minnesota

Forbes magazine has once again recognized St. Paul-based Ecolab and Golden Valley-based General Mills on this year's list of the “The World’s Most Innovative Companies." Ecolab ranks No. 31 and General Mills is 50th out of 100 global companies. Both Minnesota-based firms were on the magazine's 2011 list.

Fortune Global 500 list includes six Minnesota companies

UnitedHealth Group, Target, Best Buy, Supervalu, 3M and Inver Grove Heights-based CHS are among Fortune’s list of the biggest companies in the world. Twin Cities Business reports all the Minnesota companies were on the list last year, but dropped in this year’s annual ranking, expect for CHS, who jumped 97 spots.

WSJ: Two women from Minn. companies on track to become Fortune 1000 CEOs

There are only 35 female CEOs leading Fortune 1000 companies, however, experts expect that number to surge in the coming years. The Wall Street Journal explored the topic over the weekend and suggested that two Minnesota women are well on their way to the corner office at some of the nation's largest companies: Juliana Chugg, of General Mills and Gail Boudreaux, of United Health Group.
