Fulton Brewery wants to create an "urban oasis"

Fulton Brewing Co. is planning an outdoor "urban oasis" in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, the Journal Mpls reports.

Jim Diley, co-founder of the Fulton Brewing, met with the North Loop Neighborhood Association's Planning and Zoning Committee to discuss the project last week.

The Journal Mpls says the 80-seat patio area will feature some brew-specific landscaping, like hops, from Tangletown Gardens. The brewery also plans to expand its bike parking and recycle water used to brew beer to water the plants.

Fulton opened the first taproom in downtown Minneapolis more than a year ago.
