General Mills brings back marshmallow-only Lucky Charms, but only to 10,000 customers

It might make a nice dessert.

You know how many cereals are so sugary that they barely qualify as having even the remotest health benefit? Well, check this out.

Minnesota's-own General Mills has announced a special promotion on Monday, revealing it intends to release 10,000 boxes of Lucky Charms that only contain the marshmallow pieces.

That's right, none of this silly cereal stuff, just 100 percent marshmallow.

Unfortunately you won't find these boxes on the shelves. You're able to get your hands on one by first picking up one of 10,000 regular boxes of Lucky Charms (so you have to buy a box in the first place, clever clever) that feature a special code on the back panel.

"Just enter that 14-digit code at to see if you’re one of the 10,000 lucky winners," General Mills says.

After you've done that, it should be a few weeks until the box arrives.

General Mills has really ramped up the offer for its fans, after an overwhelming response to a competition in 2015 that saw it give away just 10 boxes of marshmallow-only Lucky Charms.

"We were overwhelmed with calls, e-mails, and tweets ... asking for a box of our Lucky Charms marshmallows. So this year we wanted to give them even more opportunities to win," Priscilla Zee, senior marketing manager for the company, said.
