The 4-2 Vikings host the 4-2 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a battle of two of the NFL's biggest surprise teams of the season. Despite having the same record, the Vikings are currently a six point favorite.

Preview: Gophers vs. Illinois

Minnesota (15-6, 3-5) is looking for redemption when they host Illinois Saturday night. The Gophers' lost to the Illini after double-overtime a month ago. Tubby Smith told the Star Tribune that the team is desperate for wins after starting the Big Ten conference 0-4. Minnesota went on to win three in a row, but Michigan State outmuscled the Gophers ending that streak Wednesday.

Gophers vs. Broncos: Game 3 preview

The Golden Gophers football team can start the season 3-and-0 with a victory over Western Michigan Saturday. The Broncos lost to Illinois in week one and destroyed Eastern Illinois last week. The game gets started inside TCF Bank Stadium at 11:00 a.m.

The first matchup of the season between the Lynx and the Fever takes place in Indiana tonight. The second place Fever is vying for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Minnesota's 11-game winning streak came to end Tuesday after they lost to the Chicago Sky, 83-70.
