Granite City plans to open its 30th restaurant next year

Granite City Food & Brewery, based in St. Louis Park, will build its 30th eatery near Cleveland, Ohio, according to a news release. It is scheduled to open next summer. The casual dinning chain is also building new restaurants near Nashville, Tenn. and downtown Indianapolis.

Granite City has 27 27 restaurants in 13 states, including five in Minnesota.

Twin Cities Business reports the new location, south of Nashville, will open this summer. The St. Louis Park-based restaurant chain is set to open its first restaurant in Michigan next month. Last year, Granite City also announced plans to remodel some locations to increase seating capacity.

The owner of Crave restaurants says the four-season rooftop dining area will have the option of being enclosed by Minnesota's largest all-glass retractable roof.

The popular Twin Cities food truck is working on a permeant restaurant in south Minneapolis, in addition to its mobile unit. The Star Tribune reports the new eatery is set to open by the end of the year and feature the truck's eclectic menu.
