Green Party veep nominee has Twin Cities roots
Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein has picked anti-poverty organizer Cheri Honkala, formerly of the Twin Cities, as the party's nominee for vice president of the United States. Stein passed on choosing comedienne Roseanne Barr this month and settled on Honkala, the Pioneer Press reports.
Honkala is not well-known, but TV and movie viewers might recognize her actor son Mark Webber.
