Group of adults, juveniles detained after reports of harassment in St. Paul skyway


A dozen adults and juveniles who were loitering in a St. Paul skyway were detained Saturday afternoon.

Police received harassment reports from residents of a condominium building in St. Paul's Lowertown district, KSTP reports.

Officers arrested and/or cited a total of 12 people, FOX 9 says. Two adults and one juvenile were arrested on outstanding warrants. Three adults were cited at the scene and released. Six juveniles were cited and then released to their guardians.

The incident happened in a private area of the skyway, the Pioneer Press notes. The citations were for trespassing, FOX 9 says.

This is just the latest incident involving the skyways in St. Paul. Last year, Chris Lollie took cellphone video as he was Tased and arrested in a St. Paul skyway. His arrest sparked controversy about police tactics and discussions over public and private areas of the skyway.

Last month, a group of young males attacked two people in the skyway, leaving one with a broken wrist and the other with a bruised and bloodied face. Police have arrested at least one person in connection with the attack.
