Have dreams of owning a playground pirate ship?

The Wyoming Police Department has good news if you're ever wanted to have your own ship or playground.

The east-central Minnesota city is auctioning off two wooden playground pirate ships.

Both ships – one with a yellow slide and one with a blue slide – are considered in "good shape" and include a slide and ladder. They are 8 feet wide, 8 feet tall and 16 feet long, the auction website says.

They were installed at local parks, but were recently removed because they no longer met Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, Chief of Police Paul Hoppe told BringMeTheNews. The city is auctioning them off because people have showed interest in wanting to put them in their backyard to use as their kids' jungle gym, he said.

It's not clear what will replace the ships at the parks, with Hoppe noting the city's parks board is working on figuring that out.

The auction goes until 3 p.m. on July 27, but could be extended. As of 12:36 p.m. Friday, the current price for the ship with the blue slide was $610, while the ship with the yellow slide had a high bid of $51.

The person who wins the auction must come pick up the ship, although the city will help the buyer load it on a flatbed trailer, the auction site notes.
