Wednesday will be a big day for arrests in Hennepin County.

Sheriff's deputies and police officers from several departments will be out in force the Star Tribune reports, clearing up a backlog of arrest warrants.

Sheriff Rich Stanek was encouraging scofflaws to turn themselves in ahead of the sweep to avoid the embarrassment of being arrested at work or at home. As the Pioneer Press reports, Stanek says the bulk of the outstanding warrants involve domestic violence cases.

Think there might be a warrant for you? You'll have to drop by the sheriff's office in person because the county doesn't release that information over the phone. And if you want to post bail bring cash, not a check.

Oh, and on your way over keep an eye out for Hennepin County's Most Wanted.
