Here's your Memorial Day Weekend forecast

It's Memorial Day Weekend in Minnesota, so naturally the forecast isn't looking that great.

Temperatures are expected to be closer to normal, but still below average, for much of the weekend, plus there are chances for some rain (but no day is expected to be a washout) and there's also the possibility for some isolated thunderstorms, the National Weather Service says.

Here's a look at the forecast for different parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service's website (you can check the latest forecast for where you'll be here):

Twin Cities

Friday: Mostly cloudy during the day, with a high near 78 degrees. There's a chance for some showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy again, with a high near 73 degrees. There's a 20 percent chance of some rain after 1 p.m.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees. There's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 65 degrees. There's a chance of showers, and maybe some thunderstorms, after 1 p.m.

Brainerd Lakes Area

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 74 degrees.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72 degrees. There's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night, mainly before 3 a.m.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66 degrees. There's a 50 percent chance of showers (and maybe some thunderstorms) after 1 p.m.

Memorial Day: Mostly cloudy with a high near 60 degrees. There's a "slight" chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

Duluth area

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. There's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms all day.

Memorial Day: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. There's a chance of showers in the morning, and again Monday night.

Moorhead area

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74 degrees.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75. There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon into the night.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68. There's a 50 percent chance for showers and maybe some thunderstorms after 5 p.m.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. There's a 30 percent chance for showers.

Rochester area

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 75.

Saturday: Increasing clouds throughout the day, with a high near 74. There's a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. There's a slight chance of showers before 8 a.m., and then a chance for showers and thunderstorms again after 2 p.m.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. There's chance of showers for much of the day and night.

Marshall area

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. There's a chance for showers before 1 p.m., and again at night, mainly after 7 p.m.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. There's a chance for showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.
