Minnesota high school football brackets are being released and on Thursday the top class in Minnesota, Class 6A, was announced. Totino-Grace, Blaine, Eden Prairie and Rosemount are the top seeds in the class.
This is the second year of the new playoff system for Class 6A in high school football. The bracket is similar to what the NCAA does for their annual basketball tournament.
There are technically 4 sections in the class that are seeded 1 through 8 and then the bracket is a random draw.
The 32 teams will play down 16, then the 8 teams left after that will form the state tournament field for Minnesota's top class.
Class 6A is the only class that is seeded in this format. The semi-final and State Championship game will be played at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
