Highway 100 was closed for just under an hour in Edina Wednesday afternoon as police dealt with a potential jumper.

Traffic backed up in the Edina and St. Louis Park area after police closed the road in both directions between 50th Street and Highway 62 just after 2 p.m.

Edina Police told BringMeTheNews there was a potential jumper on the Benton Avenue bridge, but the situation was resolved with nobody injured.

The road re-opened at around 2:45 p.m.

Traffic cams on the MnDOT website showed huge lines on the southbound highway at Excelsior Boulevard.
