Hit-and-run driver sought in bicyclist's death in Minneapolis

Authorities are looking for the driver of a vehicle in connection with the hit-and-run death of a bicyclist in Minneapolis, The Associated Press reports.

Police said the victim, who was hit at the intersection of West 28th Street and Pleasant Avenue South on Wednesday night, died Friday at the hospital.

KSTP reports that the victim has been identified by family members as 24-year-old Jessica Hanson.

Police have not yet officially confirmed the woman's identity.

The vehicle sped through a stop sign with its lights off and hit the bicyclist, and then left the scene of the accident, police said.

Police added that they only have limited information about the suspected vehicle.
