Finally this year, after installing heating cable in his garden soil and building a mini greenhouse over each seedling, Starner thinks he's done it. Advisory alert issued for Hoffman's turkey jerky
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Hoffman Town & Country Meat Market of Detroit Lakes have issued a consumer advisory for whole-muscle turkey jerky after state investigators linked the product to four cases of illness caused by salmonella bacteria. One of the four lives in the Twin Cities metro area, and three in outstate Minnesota. One was hospitalized, but all have recovered.
