New technology from Hormel lets you experience bacon on a whole other level.

The Minnesota-based food maker is offering the first ever "virtual reality bacon shopping experience," the company said in a news release.

Basically, it's a Google Cardboard, but bacon-scented.

Introducing, The Black Market:

Users can try it out by visiting www.BlackLabelBacon.com on a smart phone and positioning the phone in front of their eyes.

There's four different "worlds" to visit: Jalapeño Volcano, Cherry Woods, Salty Sea and Vastness of Variety.

And while you're exploring the worlds, you can order real bacon to your doorstep using your eyes. By looking at a piece of bacon, you can add it to your cart.

Although you don't need an app or headset to try out the virtual reality experience, Hormel was offering limited quantities of the custom, bacon-scented Google Cardboards for free on their online store.

Sadly, as of Monday afternoon they were already sold out.
