A music video by a group of Minneapolis grade-schoolers made the cut for Spin Magazine's list of "40 Best Songs of 2012."

"Hot Cheetos & Takis" by Y.N.RichKids is a product of the North Community YMCA Beats and Rhymes program that went viral this summer.

The song is No. 18 on the list, landing ahead of some notable artists like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, R. Kelly and Jack White.

Spin says "Hot Cheetos" is "the best argument for educational arts funding that the Obama administration will never make" and "induced more unjaded smiles than any other song in 2012."

The video has more than four million views on YouTube.
