Tail-wagging travel buddies don't need to leave the state to find one USA Today's top 10 "most amazing dog parks." Maple Grove's Elm Creek Reserve Dog Park made the list of fetching destinations for dogs.

Teaming up with the pooch travel website BringFido.com, USA Today notes the dog park, run by Three Rivers Park District, includes a fenced 29-acre haven for off-leash play.

Dogs can frolic across trails, forests and open fields in the park.

The listing also mentions winter attractions for dog and owners, including dog-sledding. Bigger dogs weighing more than 30 pounds can pull their owners on skis, which is called skijoring.

"There are a lot of places to go exploring off-leash. It seems like a completely different park, depending on the season," BringFido.com's Becca Barnett tells USA Today.
