Husband improving after crash that killed wife, 2 kids


An injured driver is improving after a highway crash Saturday that killed his wife and two young children.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremiah Statham, of Foxworth, Miss., was in fair condition Monday at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

He had been in critical condition after the crash on an icy Highway 2 near Cass Lake. Catherine Statham, 27, and Jeremiah, 3, and Emma, 1, perished in the crash.
