MnDOT postponed its work because of the rain in the forecast. No word yet on when it will be rescheduled. The project will install "smart lane" technology, as well as a new surface and improved drainage.

The State Patrol shut down I-94 eastbound in the Twin Cities for two hours after reports of a man threatening to jump from an overpass. Kare 11 reports police spoke with the man and took him into custody.

Crews started work Monday on an Interstate 94 resurfacing project that will create traffic jams south of St. Cloud until next summer. The seven mile stretch of highway carries more than 40,000 people a day. Transportation officials warn that during peak times the backups could extend as far as 20 miles.
