Kenneth Aubrey has been terminated from the St. Paul-based software company effective immediately. Kris Tufto, an Image Sensing board member, was named interim CEO. Michael Doyle, a company director, also resigned from the board in protest of Aubrey's termination.

Image Sensing Systems Inc. has appointed Kris Tufto as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, according to a company news release. He will also continue his role as board director. Tufto was named interim CEO in August when the St. Paul-based detection software company fired its former leader Kenneth Aubrey.

Fortun will replace company co-founder Jeffrey Green as chairman of the board. Penn currently serves as senior vice president of the company and president of its Disk Drive Components Division.
