In search for missing anglers, a vehicle found – but still no sign of the duo

The search for two people whose vehicle may have fallen through ice in western Minnesota continued Wednesday morning.

Multiple agencies are out looking for Brianna Jean Thooft, 29, and Bradley Allen Lund, 54, who were reported missing Sunday evening following a fishing trip near the town of Lake Benton, Minnesota, Forum News Service says.

The couple hadn't been heard from since early Sunday morning. The search for the pair began Monday, and on Tuesday morning officials located a vehicle at the bottom of Lake Benton near the Norwegian Creek Campground, KSFY reports.

But officials have not located the pair.

Lincoln County Sheriff Chad Meester told KELO News there is still no direct connection between the car in the lake and their disappearance.

"We haven't found any persons yet. We're still treating this as a missing persons case at this point," Meester told the news station.

First searchers tried to use underwater cameras to view the vehicle, but have now moved on to using dragging techniques, reports say.

Lund is a well-known farmer in the area, according to Forum News Service.

Anyone with any information on Thooft's or Lund's whereabouts is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 507-694-1664.
