Authorities with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department say they will release information next week on the officer involved shooting in Richfield Friday, reported the Pioneer Press.

Authorities say an officer was forced to shoot a mentally disturbed man who was wielding a knife.

The man who died in the incident was Jeff O'Connor, 25, who was living in the house with his aunt, the Star Tribune reported. A family member Saturday remember O'Connor as "a very good guy."
