A crash left one person critically injured and knocked out power to a north Minneapolis neighborhood Friday evening.
Minneapolis police say the collision happened at the intersection of Plymouth Avenue North and Lyndale Avenue North at 9:25 p.m.
It's likely there were multiple factors that caused the crash, with spokesman John Elder saying speed, failure to yield, and alcohol may have contributed to the collision.
A car that was traveling eastbound on Plymouth collided with an SUV that was going south on Lyndale.
The impact sent the car careening off the road and into a large electrical box, cutting off power for a time to the local area.
Three people were injured at the scene, one of them critically, and they were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Power was fully restored by Saturday morning.
