Isanti man dies after being hit by train


An Isanti man died after he was struck by a train early Saturday morning.

The Isanti County News reports that Isanti poice responded to a call about an accident at 4:02 a.m. They found a pedestrian who had died at the scene. He has been identified as James Donald O’Neil, 32.

There have been two other accidents involving trains and pedestrians within the city this year, including one in May involving a 19-year-old woman who was struck while she was wearing earphones.
