Mother and daughter killed in Jackson County fatal accident

The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the two people who died in a Jackson County accident Friday involving a car and a semi-trailer truck.

Donna Kanuch, 85, and Norma Kanuch, 64, both of Jackson, died when the car they were riding in collided with the truck on a road in southwestern Minnesota. The Star Tribune reports that Donna Kanuch, who was a passenger in the car, was the mother of the driver, Norma Kanuch.

KKOJ AM says the truck driver, Dwayne Meyer, 56, of Spencer, Iowa was taken to a local hospital and then flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. He remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
