Janitors at Target settle lawsuit with outside employeer
Dozens of janitors at Twin Cities Target stores have settled a class action lawsuit filed against their outside employers, Minnesota Public Radio reports.
Janitors employed by Tampa, Fla.-based Diversified Maintenance Systems alleged they were required to work up to 80 hours a week and weren't paid all the overtime wages they were due.
Minneapolis-based Target is not a party to the lawsuit.
Terms of the settlement call for Diversified pay $675,000 to the workers, but admit to no wrongdoing.
According to MPR, 250 janitors in the upper Midwest could benefit from the settlement.
