If you want to spend your time wasting away in Margaritaville, you won't have to go very far to get there.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, the restaurant and entertainment chain named after the singer's famous song, will be opening a new 9,000 square-foot venue at the Mall of America in late spring 2016.

In a press release given to BringMeTheNews, it will be located in a space on Level 3, East, near the planned Crayola Experience and the recently relocated Rainforest Cafe.

The massive venue will comprise of a restaurant, "multiple bars," a performance stage and a retail store, promising a selection of burgers, nachos, fried chicken, shrimp and, naturally, margaritas.

"Margaritaville's blend of specialty dining and entertainment, along with its iconic Jimmy Buffett brand is a strong addition to our growing list of unique restaurant offerings," said Jill Renslow, senior VP of marketing and business development at the megamall. "We are excited to offer an ever-expanding variety of destination retailers and restaurants to our guests."

Jimmy Buffett has 23 Margaritaville locations around the world, with one more in San Antonio due to open soon. Most of the restaurants are in the U.S., though there are others in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Panama and Australia.

It is the latest in a series of significant announcements from the Mall of America, which along with securing the Crayola Experience is also pushing ahead with yet another expansion, with plans for a $500 million luxury retail, commercial and hotel addition revealed last week.
