Judge denies Prairie Seeds soccer team's request to overturn MSHSL ruling

Prairie Seeds Academy's soccer season is over after a judge Friday denied the school's request to overturn the Minnesota State High School League's decision to disqualify the boys' soccer team from the Class A state tournament, the Star Tribune reported.

The MSHSL disqualified Prairie Seeds after an investigation into a brawl revealed Prairie Seeds was using an illegal player.

The brawl between players from Prairie Seeds and Totino Grace was captured on video and posted online. See the clip below.

Prairie Seeds out of state soccer tournament after brawl

Minnesota boys soccer officials have barred Prairie Seeds Academy from the state soccer tournament, but not because players got into a fist fight with players from Totino Grace High School after an Oct. 18 game. The Minnesota State High School League started investigating Prairie Seeds after the brawl and determined the team had an ineligible player because of a paperwork issue. The academy may go to court to challenge the ruling.
