KARE 11's Rena Sargianopoulos to co-anchor Saturday morning show

Rena Sargianopoulos will join KARE 11's Saturday morning show with Belinda Jensen. The reporter and weekend anchor is replacing Eric Perkins who was recently promoted to weeknight sports anchor and sports director.

KARE 11 announced their new Saturday morning show team Tuesday. The Minneapolis TV station says weekend anchor Rena Sargianopoulos will co-host the Saturday morning show with Chief Meteorologist Belinda Jensen. The new team will make their debut on October 13.

Sargianopoulos is replacing former weekend anchor Eric Perkins, the Pioneer Press reports. Perkins was promoted to weeknight sports anchor and sports director at KARE in July.

In January, Perkins joined the morning team at K-Twin Radio 96.3 FM as a talkshow host.

Eric Perkins named KARE 11 sports director

KARE 11 weekend mainstay Eric Perkins has been named the station's new sports director, the station announced Thursday. Perkins will join Julie Nelson, Randy Shaver and Belinda Jensen at the anchor desk weeknights at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. Perkins also does sports radio broadcasts for BringMeTheNews.

KARE 11 announces new weekend anchor team

Randy Shaver named news co-anchor at KARE 11

Longtime KARE 11 sports anchor Randy Shaver has been named the weeknight news co-anchor of KARE 11 News. Shaver will join co-anchor Julie Nelson at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. beginning July 16. He replaces Mike Pomeranz, who left the station in March to be a TV broadcaster for the San Diego Padres.

KSTP adds new anchor, reporter
