Kevin Love is sounding as optimistic as ever. The Timberwolves' All-Star tells the Portland (Ore.) Tribune that it would be "a big surprise" to him if Minnesota didn't make the playoffs this year.

Love says with the additions of free agents Brandon Roy and Andrei Kirilenko, the Wolves will simply have more "veteran firepower."

A former Wolf, meanwhile, is reportedly headed to the Celtics. There are various reports that Darko Milicichas signed a one-year deal with Boston.
