The kids were the all-stars at Children's Hospital in the Twin Cities Monday as some local celebrities turned out for a special All-Star Game event.

KSTP reports 16 patients were selected to be honored at the event, called "Autographs in Reverse." The patients received their own personalized baseball cards and memorabilia, as well as visits from such athletes as former Twins pitcher Scott Erickson, 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series champ Kevin Millar, Wild star Zach Parise, "Desperate Housewives" star James Denton and celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern.

"I see patients and children handling situations that I don't know if I could," Zimmern told WCCO."To not show up here I think would be disrespectful."

Parise says it was important to him to come to the event and meet the kids, "to see how excited they get, and see how happy they are and spend some time with them."

Erickson's wife, former sportscaster Lisa Guerrero, was at the event as well, and sent out tweets featuring her husband.
