Kevin Love underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is expected to miss an estimated six weeks, the Cavs announced.

Love was ruled out for Tuesday game in Minneapolis against the Timberwolves after he complained of knee soreness during and after Cleveland's win over Denver on Saturday. He had an MRI on Sunday and it was later reported by the The News Herald that Love would seek a second opinion on the knee, hinting at the possibility of something serious.

If he's back in six week's he'll return for the final 8-10 games of the regular season.

Cleveland is 37-16, two games ahead of Boston and 4.5 on top of Washington for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Love, an All-Star, is averaging 20 points and 11.1 rebounds this season.
