Known for brains not beauty; U of M ranks as one of the ugliest campuses

Travel+Leisure Magazine has put the University of Minnesota on its list of Ugliest College Campuses.

The publication listed the U of M on a list of ugly schools that also included the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, Hampshire College in Amherst, MA and the University of Tennessee, to name a few.

The site said, "Many great architects including Steven Holl and Frank Gehry have tried their hand at turning the commuter campus of the University of Minnesota from Brutalist to Pritzker Prize-worthy."

KARE 11 reports the list was made after consulting the Princeton Review, and other forums where students debate all aspects of campus life.
