The group Books For Africa has enlisted the help of a Minnesota company in getting ag education to Africa. The Finney Company, which has a branch specializing in agricultural books, will help send libraries to African schools and government agencies. It's patterned after a program in which Thomson Reuters sent law books to Africa.

Bemidji effort aims to save Carnegie library

A group in Bemidji has lanched a fundraising drive to raise more than $1 million to restore the city’s historic Carnegie Library. The group proposes an addition to the 102-year-old library, which features fireplaces and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
