Late Night host and Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers will pay a visit to the State Theatre in Minneapolis next month.

The Emmy Award-winning writer and current host of Late Night with Seth Meyers will take the stage at the Hennepin Avenue venue on Friday, June 16.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m., costing $45.50 to $59.50, according to the Hennepin Theatre Trust website.

Meyers, an SNL cast member for 13 seasons starting in 2001 and head writer for nine years, has become a mainstream star after taking over the reigns of The Late Show from Jimmy Fallon.

Expect things to get political at the State Theatre, with Vox noting Meyers has brought a more acerbic style to the show than Fallon.

Meyers "dissects the news of the day with a horrified raise of the eyebrow and fiery declarations," Vox says, and his jokes have got particularly "ferocious" since Donald Trump officially became president.

He has garnered 14 Emmy nominations for his writing work in television and hosted the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2014.

Tickets will be available at the State Theatre box office, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
