Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a Minnesota man missing since Friday night.

According to a news release from the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old John Rassat of Darwin was last seen around 11:30 p.m. on April 7. He left his residence on foot, and no one has seen him since, the release says.

Rassat is described as 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and an orange hat – the same hat as seen in the photo. Rassat also goes by the name "J.D."

A missing person investigation was launched Saturday afternoon, and a ground search was conducted. It was called off Saturday night.

The sheriff's office says Rassat made "brief contact" with his family by phone overnight. However, his whereabouts and well being are still unknown, and law enforcement is concerned for his safety.

Anyone with information on Rassat's whereabouts should call the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
