Light snow expected in Twin Cities, up to 5 inches in southern Minn.


The National Weather Service is predicting around 4 inches of snow to fall across much of southwest and south central Minnesota by midday Friday, but they say it's "not expected to be particularly intense."

In the metro, KSTP's Ken Barlow expects a light snowfall:

FOX9 reports a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for those areas from 3 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday, but WCCO doesn't think the snow will start until about 5 p.m.

Flurries should arrive in the metro between 7 and 9 p.m., according to KARE 11.
