Eight people have been injured -- at least four seriously -- following a lightning strike at Lake Superior beach in Duluth Saturday night. Authorities say a 9-year-old boy is in "very serious" condition and at least three adults are also seriously hurt and have been hospitalized.

Lightning ignites underground gas line

Firefighters were called to a Minneapolis neighborhood early Sunday morning after a high voltage transformer box and power line were struck by lightning. KSTP reports crews believe the electrical current traveled four feet underground igniting the natural gas line.
