Here's an announcement we never could have guessed would be a thing while blasting "One Step Closer" through our behind-the-neck headphones 17 years ago.

Linkin Park are going on a world tour with Machine Gun Kelly.

Now 17 years into their existence, the mega-successful alternative rock band announced the One More Light World Tour Tuesday, which kicks off July 27 in Boston. The tour includes rapper Machine Gun Kelly (who our cohorts at Go 95.3 interviewed in November).

The tour swings by St. Paul on Aug. 15, with a show at the Xcel Energy Center.

Tickets are anywhere from $39.50 to $109.50, and include a CD or digital copy of Linkin Park's upcoming album, One More Light. And $1 from each ticket purchased will go to the band's charity foundation Music For Relief.

There's a presale on May 9 for fans who register for access here (if you don't sign in through Facebook you get a lower spot in line). Or tickets are on sale to the general public on May 12. Details and times are here at Ticketmaster.

One More Light comes out May 17. The first single from the album is "Heavy" and features Kiiara. Linkin Park hasn't toured in Minnesota since a 2014 gig at the State Fair, it looks like.

And Machine Gun Kelly has a new record coming out too. Titled Bloom, it's his third studio album – its debut single, featuring Hailee Steinfeld, is called "At My Best."
