The List: 2 Chainz talks charity, terrorism and more on The View

2 Chainz gives a lot back to the people and might just run for mayor.

2 Chainz took over daytime television yesterday to discuss his forthcoming new album with the ladies of The View.

The best part of waking up is an unexpected hip-hop cameo. 2 Chainz was the guest on The View yesterday, making quite the impression on the show's panel, including longtime members Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, as well as former Republican Presidential hopeful John Kasich.

After some poignant words regarding the recent terrorist attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, 2 Chainz opened up about a lot of his private philanthropical endeavors. Giving back to the community in impactful ways such as paying struggling families' rent and buying them cars, he's never strayed far from his roots. Hence his confidence when the subject of his consideration of running for Mayor of Atlanta came up.

2 Chainz also discussed his new album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music and how it is being a rapping father of three. Fortunately, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music drops on June 16, just in time for Father's Day.

- This Week in Migos: Quavo popped up alongside Lil Yachty on the new Lil Durk track "Homie B****" and Takeoff dropped the solo track "Intruder."

- G-Eazy surprised us with three new tracks today, including the Snoop Dogg-assisted "Get Mine."

- A&E is giving us beats and rhymes this June with a two-part estate-authorized Biggie episode of Biography starting on June 28, and launching a six-episode miniseries Who Shot Tupac? on June 29.

- Slim Thug takes us to Texas on his massive new posse cut "Welcome to Houston."
